A light side deck built to be played against This is some rescue! (Dark).

Starting

Start RTP and Frigate for Insurrection and Staging Areas.

Prepare

Leia can be rescued in just 2 turns, with the right cards. Here's what you're looking for...

  1. Transportation. A Ronto and a Lift Tube.

  2. A rescue method. This can be Cell 2187, I'm Here To Rescue You, or 8D8.

  3. A rescuer. This depends on the rescue method above. You will need either a spy, a leader, or 8D8.

Attempt the rescue

Deploy a Lift Tube to Docking Bay 327, and your rescuer and Ronto to Yavin 4: Docking Bay.

Move the Ronto (with rider) using docking bay transit (for free) to the Death Star. Disembark the Ronto, and enter the Lift Tube. Move the lift tube to the Detention Block Corridor.

You are now free to attempt the rescue! You may need Lift Tube Escape, Blast The Door, Into The Garbage Chute, or Narrow Escape to evade Death Star security.

Once back at the docking bay, climb onto the Ronto, and docking bay transit back to Yavin. Finally, disembark the Ronto and use landspeed to move to the War Room to flip the objective!

Remember, Prisoner 2187 keeps the objective from going out of play, even if Leia is lost. If that happens, you can always deploy your backup copy from hand and move to the War Room to flip again.

Spy Games

Once flipped, leverage the attrition bonus and Leia's extra battle destinies to either hold down Yavin, or fight for control of the Detention Block. Nightfall on Yavin lets your spies deploy free, but also invites your opponents spies in, so use with caution.

Later in the game, R2 or 8D8 can attempt to steal the Death Star Plans for big retrieval with your high destiny draws.
